NATION’S TOP URBAN DANCERS BATTLE AT RED BULL LORDS OF THE FLOOR…THE SEQUEL Seattle, WA – June 1, 2002 - Red Bull Lords of the Floor featured the best of the international urban dance/B-boy community as it brought together the top crews from around the world in the most anticipated bboy event of the year. The sold out 2-on-2 open-invitational dance competition at Sandpoint Park (a former naval base airplane hangar) was standing room only as the final 16 crews went toe to toe. El Nino, the 11 year-old member of Floor Brats, took the final round by storm as he and teammate, Kamel/B-Boy Intrigue rocked all the way to 1st place.
HISTORY IN THE MAKING “This year’s Red Bull Lords of the Floor used all of the knowledge from last year’s event and took it (the music, dancers and crowd) to a higher level. This show is tighter than last year and the crowd is a direct representation of the word of mouth that spread by last year’s competition,” said Bob Foxhoven, co-founder of the event and member of internationally renowned dance crew, Circle of Fire. Seattle icon Kutfather (KEXP Street Sounds) returned as MC joined by Las Vegas’ Jo Koy (Comedy View). Together, they held center stage with on point commentary and wit. “This event is a tribute to every promoter, dancer, and artist,” said Kutfather. A 48x24 foot graffiti installation was created from scratch by Totem2 and Kem5 (3A Crew) and Seattle’s Charmskee.
THE ULTIMATE GO DOWN This year’s 3 legendary judges Ken Swift (New York Rocksteady), Storm (Battle Squad/Germany) and Kujo (Soul Control/California) had tough decisions to make as the 2002 Lords field was nasty. In the end, The Floor Brats (Boston, MA/Bronx, NY) walked with $4000. HaviKORO (Houston, TX) grabbed $1000 for 2nd place and $500 was awarded to 3rd place Circle of Fire (Seattle, WA). The dancers were judged on danceability, execution, originality, energy/presence and difficulty of movements.

Review:
I’ve seen hundreds of events over the years, but Red Bull Lords of the Floor 2 stands out as my shining favorite out of all of the masterpieces. The DVD showcases many of the best bboy crews in North America going head to head in 2 on 2 battles. You get to see a huge amount of the dancers personalities and mind blowing abilities. Not only is every dancer determined to give 200% from the start to finish of this unbelievable event, but the lineup is incredibly diverse, with every crew and dancer coming out with completely different moves and styles. The Washington audience’s appreciative screams of support and excitement definitely make the dancers push themselves harder and harder throughout the entire event.
This DVD introduces you to many of the best B-Boys in North America, at their best, in an incredibly well produced event and DVD. Whether you’re an experienced BBoy/BGirl or you just want to see the best of the amazing North American BBoying scene, this jam packed video will pull you right into the culture and energy of modern BBoying. I’ve showed this video to my friends and family and even people with no interest in hiphop or dance videos are still blown away, because of it’s full of fresh, original moves that don’t seem physically possible, performed effortlessly. I can easily give Lords of the Floor 2, 10 out of 10 Stars, this is everything a battle video should be, diverse, competitive, creative, raw and extremely well put together! A B-Boy Triumph, A+
